Dancing at Lughnasadh with Tailltiu & Lugh
Assembly Celebration
~ Assemble in sacredness to celebrate the bounty of your harvest ~
Date: Friday 1st August 2025
Time: 3 - 4.30pm BST, UK
The Changing of the Seasons from Summer Solstice to Lughnasadh in the Northern Hemisphere
Goddess Áine passes the torch to Tailltiu and Lugh as we walk towards the time of Lughnasadh. The wheel of the year guides us south-west to the time of Lughnasadh in the northern hemisphere. Lughnasadh is a time to celebrate the harvest. It’s an invitation to recognise all that has seeded and grown with the turning of the wheel. This is the time to gather together in communion to feast upon our individual and collective harvest, to bless and thank the produce of our labour. It’s also the time to gather in celebration to hear the stories of old and revision them for our onwards path.
This is the time when we begin our descent into the darker time of the year in the northern hemisphere as the light of summer solstice gives way to the darkening. Lughnasadh is also August in the Irish language.
Join us for a powerful, joyful and activating Lughnasadh Assembly Celebration.
